Why reuse, remanufacture and recycle inkjet and toner cartridges? Here are the facts: 1. It takes approximately 3.5 quarts of oil to produce a new laser cartridge and 3 pints of oil to produce a new inkjet cartridge.
2. Currently, 90% of used printer cartridges throughout the world are being discarded.
3. In North America Alone, over 350 million cartridges per year are discarded to our landfills.
4. The average toner cartridge weighs 3 and 1/2 to 4 pounds. The estimated total weight of cartridges thrown this year is equivalent to 67,612 Ford Explorers or 112,463 VW Beetles.
5. All of the discarded inkjet and laser cartridges grouped together would more than fill the Grand Canyon!
6. The number of cartridges discarded is increasing by 12% annually.
7. Laser cartridges take thousands of years to decompose. They don’t even start to decompose for over 1,000 years. We can all help: 1. Every remanufactured laser cartridge saves approximately 4 pounds of solid waste from entering our landfills and 3 and 1/2 quarts of oil from being used. Every inkjet cartridge helps as well.
2. Remanufacturing cartridges reduces pollution as almost 90% of empty cartridges are incinerated or deposited into our landfill.
3. You do not have to throw out your expensive printer cartridges. Most printer cartridges can be remanufactured, refilled or reloaded.
4. On average, cartridges can be remanufactured or refilled 7-10 times.
5. PRINTERGREEN, LLC™, utilizing modern up to date equipment and techniques, is a leader in methods of remanufacturing both inkjet and laser toner cartridges.
6. By bringing your used cartridges to PRINTERGREEN, LLC™, you are helping to protect our environment and saving our limited natural resources, while saving yourself money.
7. Following our commitments, we would like to work with you to set in motion a program that will protect the environment and keep cartridges out of the landfill.
